Stellar pitching performances by Sam Scott (Deer Creek, Ill./Deer Creek-Mackinaw) and Austin Collinson (Normal, Ill./Normal West) sent the Carl Sandburg College baseball team to a sweep at Rock Valley on Thursday.
The Chargers (22-28) have won six of their last eight games.

Key Moment
Scott took a shutout into the sixth before a pair of errors and a double cut Sandburg’s lead to 3-1. A hit batsman put runners on first and second with nobody out, but Scott struck out the next batter and induced an inning-ending 6-4-3 double play to escape the jam.
